Wakefield City Webcats are competing for the Hope Cup against FevNet Rovers this Sunday. The game takes place at Pontefract Rugby Union Ground kicking off at 12. The game will also be the first to play under the new Tag Rugby rules worked out between the tag rugby teams and the RFL. The Hope Cup, donated by the Hope and Anchor Darts Team, is a new trophy that will be competed annually between the districts two tag rugby teams. In a twist, each player will be asked to donate 20p for each try scored against their team. The funds raised by this will be given to the charity chosen by the two teams, this year it being the Brennan Rooney Fund. Everyone is welcome to come down and watch two good teams compete.
